Dragonflies are considered good ecological indicators as they are sensitive to habitat degradation and climate change. The endangered giant dragonfly is one of the largest dragonflies in the world with a wingspan to 120 mm. The main threats to this species include: habitat clearing and disturbance, weed invasion, pollution and decrease in water quality.
