Botanical Fine Art Print - Protea A4
Quality Archival Print of a Protea.
The Protea is NOT native to Australia but South Africa.
The genus is made up of many species that range in size as well as having distinct flower variations in the colour and shape of their cone. The name Protea originates from the Greek Legend of Proteus, a Greek God who could change his form at will. Their nectar attracts birds, bees and insects, all vital to the natural ecosystem. Next time you buy a ‘native’ posy with a Protea – you know it’s not actually native to Australia!
